Requirements

  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Organized, meticulous, and adept at time management
  • Capable of explaining complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to align analysis with business goals
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in credit risk analysis, with a focus on consumer lending
  • Expertise in analysing underwriting performance and contributing to model refinements
  • Proficiency in building models using statistical tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS, or similar)
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex projects

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize credit risk strategies for lending operations
  • Analyze and improve consumer underwriting performance in unsecured lending
  • Monitor counterparty risk
  • Provide actionable insights to shape credit decisioning
  • Monitor macro risk trends
  • Support the wider business with expert analysis
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure data-driven decisions and continuously improve risk strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tools such as BigQuery, DBT, and open banking platforms
  • Experience in counterparty risk analysis
