Join MasteryPrep as a Curriculum Developer and contribute to creating engaging educational materials that empower students to succeed. This fully remote contract position offers the opportunity to develop asynchronous content, participate in various stages of the development pipeline, and contribute to a mission-driven organization. You will work with a dedicated team to design and refine educational resources, ensuring they are engaging, accurate, and effective for diverse learners. The initial contract position has the potential to transition into a full-time role within the Academic Product Creation department. Strong writing skills and a passion for education are essential. This 1099 contract position requires a commitment of 6-7 hours per week.
Requirements
- 2+ years of educational content authoring experience outside of the classroom
- Subject matter expert in English, Math, Science, or Social Studies
- Experience working with curriculum companies, including but not limited to textbook authoring, online asynchronous lesson development and practice test creation
- A strong understanding of key instructional concepts, including scaffolding and test-taking strategies
- Experience with standardized testing, including ACT, SAT, and EOC/EOG
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
- Receptivity to feedback
- Exceptional writing skills
Responsibilities
- Create asynchronous content for a wide variety of lesson materials, including digital and print resources
- Participate in numerous stages of the development pipeline, including authoring, editing othersβ work, and conducting quality control efforts pre-launch
- Achieve and maintain individual key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Attend a small number of synchronous trainings to hone your skills
- Ensure that all lesson content is engaging, accurate, and effective
