Customer IT & Infrastructure Solutions Specialist

Summary

Join BEUMER Group as a CITIS Specialist and solve PC, server, and network hardware installation and support tasks. You will meet with customers to analyze business requirements and produce design documents, set up and maintain IT infrastructure, and assist with VPN and remote access solutions. Responsibilities include calculating hardware costs, supporting purchasing, configuring software, updating hardware and operating systems, and converting systems to virtualized or thin-client environments. You will also create technical documentation, support testing and troubleshooting, participate in installations, manage cybersecurity topics, and provide status updates and risk assessments. International collaboration and travel are involved. The role requires a strong analytical and problem-solving approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Requirements

• Master's or bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology
• 2+ years' IT-Experience 1+ years' experience working remotely 1+ years' experience working internationally
• Confident knowledge and understanding in the latest international industry standards, practices, and technologies pertaining to project IT
• Possesses knowledge and exposure to VMWare Virtual Environments and related setup practices
• Has basic knowledge about thin client technologies and setups and an understanding of the latest international Cyber Security practices and related certifications
• Ability to work and collaborate with a team in a professional manner
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to learn new technologies quickly
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and communication skills (both verbal and written)

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers, after sale or during sale for retrofits, to analyze business requirements and produce design documents
• Set-up and maintain the PCs, Servers, and Network within new and existing development, test, and production environments
• Assisting in the setup of VPN and/or remote access solutions to equipment in the office and on-site
• Calculating Hardware prices and hours used for the configuration and installation of PCs, Servers, and Networks
• Supporting the purchasing process for PCs, Servers, Network Devices, and other similar equipment on behalf of the company
• Configuring and setting up third party software on PCs, Servers, and other similar devices
• Updating server and PC hardware, and operating systems, for both new and existing customer systems
• Converting systems based on physical servers and/or PC hardware to virtualized environments
• Converting PC setups to thin-client environments
• Applying software patches and Windows OS patches
• Creating and maintaining internal & external technical documentation for the PCs, Servers, and Networks we are responsible for
• Support the development of test plans, and drive troubleshooting efforts, for quality control prior to commissioning
• Testing configured hardware and installed 3rd part software, and resolving any identified performance concerns
• Troubleshooting on calls or in person with customers, suppliers, and internal software teams
• Participating in the remote and on-site installation and testing of PCs, Servers, and Network
• Managing topics and processes related to Cyber Security
• Provide ongoing status updates, planning input, and risk assessments for involved projects
• Working internationally with CITIS Teams in different countries and timezones, including calls & trips for training and collaboration
• Participating in customer meetings
• Delivering high-end quality hardware solutions for both internal and external projects
• Supporting and troubleshooting running systems (remote or on site)
• Participating in Level 2 hotline support within normal business hours
• Contributing to Sales support by making analysis, design, specifications, and estimations
• Build up technical knowledge including knowledge about BEUMER Software & IT products and processes
• Keep up-to-date with latest relevant technologies
• Support company to advance in technologies and tools used within your role
