Summary
Join Planet as a Customer Success Manager for Canadian Civil Government and manage, expand relationships with federal, provincial, and municipal agencies across Canada. You will help customers maximize the value of Planet’s imagery and geospatial solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Canadian government agencies and a strong ability to navigate complex government structures. This is a full-time, remote position based in Canada. You will build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, identify expansion opportunities, and work closely with customers to facilitate training and onboarding. You will act as the voice of the customer and collaborate with various teams to support customer needs.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or a related field, ideally serving Canadian government customers
- Familiarity with GIS, remote sensing, and Earth observation technologies
- Strong ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate customer challenges into solutions using Planet’s data and services
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and technical teams
- Ability to multitask and prioritize job requirements
- Willingness to travel
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government customers, ensuring they achieve their mission objectives using Planet’s products
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with sales teams to drive renewals and upsells
- Work closely with customers to facilitate training, onboarding, and best practices on integrating Planet data into GIS and remote sensing workflows
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, advocating for feature enhancements and product improvements based on feedback
- Work closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to support customer needs, case studies, and events
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to share insights on the current status of key accounts and contribute to the development of strategies for future success
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Canadian government agencies, their procurement processes, and key initiatives related to climate, infrastructure, and emergency management
- Experience with platforms like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth Engine
- Fluency in French
