Summary

Join Megaport's high-impact Cyber Security team as a Cyber Security Compliance Specialist, reporting to the Cyber Security Manager. You will play a critical role in driving Megaport’s global security and compliance strategy forward, partnering closely with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team. This role involves ensuring Megaport meets and exceeds strategic, regulatory, privacy, and telecommunications compliance requirements. You will support cyber security compliance initiatives, contribute to risk assessments, stay updated on industry trends, deliver engaging training sessions, respond to security information requests, maintain the enterprise risk register, prepare compliance reports, support policy creation, develop customer-facing assurance materials, and assist in the audit and testing lifecycle. Requirements

• A foundational understanding of cyber security principles, risks, and industry standards
• Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills—you know how to tailor messages for any audience
• Strong interpersonal skills with the professionalism to collaborate across all levels of the business
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills—you can juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines without breaking a sweat
• Working knowledge of IT systems and data management concepts
• Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Sharp analytical and research skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Discreet and trustworthy—you handle sensitive information with care and confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Support cyber security compliance initiatives across the business, including ISO 27001, telecommunications regulations, and privacy frameworks
• Contribute to cyber security risk assessments and help track risk treatment activities
• Stay on top of global cyber security trends, regulatory updates, and best practices—sharing insights with the team and advising leadership
• Deliver engaging cyber security training sessions and awareness programs for employees, both 1-on-1 and in group settings
• Respond to internal and external requests for security and compliance information in a timely, professional manner
• Maintain and update the enterprise risk register and assist with risk reporting to stakeholders
• Help prepare compliance reports for executive and external audiences
• Support the creation, review, and ongoing management of cyber security policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain customer-facing assurance materials that showcase Megaport’s security posture
• Assist in the audit and testing lifecycle for ISO 27001 and other compliance programs
