Summary

Join NBCUniversal's Consumer Product Security team as a Cyber Security Manager. Partner with Global Streaming Technology and Cyber Security organizations to enhance security through data-driven approaches. Build strong relationships with Global Streaming leadership to assess business practices, identify security gaps, and lead the development and execution of cyber security strategies. Interact with Cyber Security leadership, Global Streaming teams, internal audit, clients, and regulators. Understand and articulate business operational processes and risks, leveraging internal and external resources. Excellent communication skills are essential. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 2 years in Cyber Security
  • Minimum 2 years in a customer-facing role managing service or solution delivery
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on project management experience managing or coordinating technical or security-focused projects using project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet)
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and stakeholder communication
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional Cyber Security projects, ensuring timely delivery, scope alignment, and quality standards across all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Develop and track project plans, schedules, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies related to Cyber Security initiatives. Own and report on key performance indicators and metrics to assess and communicate project maturity
  • Serve as a liaison between Cyber Security and business stakeholders to communicate strategies, align goals, and ensure project integration across departments
  • Coordinate Cyber Security involvement in business-driven projects, ensuring proper security requirements and considerations are integrated throughout
  • Inform and influence business strategy and decisions, aligned with the Cyber Security strategy and roadmap
  • Facilitate alignment between Cyber Security architects, engineers, and analysts with business needs, advocating for necessary resources and risk controls
  • Keep abreast of Cyber Security trends, and translate technical Cyber Security principles into business-relevant language to support executive decision-making
  • Support Cyber Security leadership in the identification and communication of relevant Cyber Security-related issues, risks and events, with business teams across the organization
  • Lead and facilitate risk assessment exercises and develop actionable mitigation plans in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Support the creation and refinement of business-relevant dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools
  • Facilitate weekly Consumer Product Security scrum meetings to drive progress on cyber security engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • News or Media Entertainment industry experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively to business and technical teams
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study
  • Training in Cyber Security specific disciplines
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives
  • Demonstrated negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Experience in large global environments spanning multiple time-zones
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recognized Information Security related standards and technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of International Information Security and Privacy regulations, laws, and policies
