Summary

Join The RRS Group Inc. as a Cyber Security Data Analyst and contribute to a secure and resilient organization. This remote position requires analyzing complex datasets to identify security threats and vulnerabilities. You will develop data models, create reports and dashboards, collaborate with the cybersecurity team, conduct risk assessments, and stay updated on cybersecurity trends. The role also involves developing data-driven strategies, assisting in incident response, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3-5 years of data analysis experience (with at least 2 years in cybersecurity), and proficiency in various data analysis tools. This is a U.S.-based position only.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, with at least 2 years focused on cybersecurity
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, and SQL
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and network security protocols
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create impactful reports
  • Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical analysis techniques
  • Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and their integration into security operations
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex findings to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Collect, process, and analyze large volumes of security-related data from various sources
  • Develop and maintain data models to support cybersecurity initiatives and threat intelligence
  • Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and investigate potential security incidents
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses using data-driven approaches
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and data analysis techniques
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance the organization's security measures
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of security metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Participate in incident response activities, providing data analysis support as needed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and security standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred
  • Experience with cloud security and big data technologies is a plus
