Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical data analysis or a related role preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum of 6 years of relevant experience also acceptable
• Knowledge of clinical research methodologies and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines
• Proven track record of strong leadership and team management skills
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quick Sight)
• Strong SQL skills for querying and retrieving data from complex data sources in a structured format
• Proficient in aggregating data, preparing, cleaning data and data mining using SQL and Python
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, train, and mentor a team of clinical data analysts
• Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities
• Foster a collaborative and data-driven culture within the team
• Oversee the collection, cleaning, and storage of clinical data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards
• Develop and implement data management and governance protocols and best practices
• Create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Present data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and secure delivery of clinical data
• Monitor data analysis processes and identify areas for improvement
• Stay current with relevant regulations and standards in clinical research and data analysis
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
• Manage multiple clinical data analysis projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and resource allocation
• Collaborate with program managers to align data analysis efforts with project goals
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in clinical data analysis and healthcare
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in data analysis methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Functional understanding of next-gen sequencing workflows; human genetics knowledge is a plus
• Experience with healthcare data, electronic health records (EHR), and clinical terminology is a plus
