Requirements
- Masterβs degree in a related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical data analysis or a related role preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum of 6 years of relevant experience also acceptable
- Knowledge of clinical research methodologies and regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and FDA guidelines
- Proven track record of strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Quick Sight)
- Strong SQL skills for querying and retrieving data from complex data sources in a structured format
- Proficient in aggregating data, preparing, cleaning data and data mining using SQL and Python
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, train, and mentor a team of clinical data analysts
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities
- Foster a collaborative and data-driven culture within the team
- Oversee the collection, cleaning, and storage of clinical data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards
- Develop and implement data management and governance protocols and best practices
- Create clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Present data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and secure delivery of clinical data
- Monitor data analysis processes and identify areas for improvement
- Stay current with relevant regulations and standards in clinical research and data analysis
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
- Manage multiple clinical data analysis projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and resource allocation
- Collaborate with program managers to align data analysis efforts with project goals
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in clinical data analysis and healthcare
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation in data analysis methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Functional understanding of next-gen sequencing workflows; human genetics knowledge is a plus
- Experience with healthcare data, electronic health records (EHR), and clinical terminology is a plus
