Data Analytics Intern

Summary

Join finmid's Data team as a Data Analytics Intern and contribute to strategic initiatives. You will analyze large datasets, partner with stakeholders to answer strategic questions, and contribute to credit risk model development. Responsibilities include building dashboards, monitoring key metrics, and advocating for data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in a related field from a top-tier university, proficiency in SQL, and familiarity with Python or R. Requirements

• A degree (or currently pursuing one) in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or a related field from a top-tier university
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with either Python or R
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a simple and actionable way
• A proactive and hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
• Motivation to learn and grow in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Responsibilities

• Support the team in analyzing large data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Partner with business stakeholders to help answer strategic questions using data
• Contribute to the development, improvement, and monitoring of credit risk models used for underwriting and portfolio management
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that help teams monitor key metrics
• Be an advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with data through internships, academic projects, or similar previous roles is a strong plus
