Summary

Mutt Data is a remote-first startup that builds innovative systems using Big Data and Machine Learning technologies. They are looking for a Jr Data Developer to help build data solutions and contribute to designing modern data pipelines.

Requirements

Basic software engineering experience, Python knowledge, SQL knowledge, ability to interpret customer requirements, ETL or stream processing systems knowledge, great capacity for teamwork

Responsibilities

• Build ETL processes for various data sources as per project needs
• Take ownership of tasks, contribute to designing modern data pipelines, develop proof of concepts, produce machine learning models, build dashboards, APIs and data platforms, research and develop new technologies

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge on some AWS (or GCP) services, have a keen sense of code hygiene: review, documentation, testing, basic knowledge in developing data-pipelining with Spark, Python and SQL, basic understanding of any stream processing tools (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark), knowledge in Python’s Scientific Stack (numpy, pandas, jupyter, matplotlib, scikit-learn)
