Summary

Join Ethos as their Creative Lead, Copy and lead the conceptual development and execution of video and TV campaigns. Craft engaging scripts for various video platforms and develop scripts for user-generated content. Collaborate with internal and external teams to bring ideas to life. Understand consumer research and pain points to write compelling copy. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure a consistent brand voice. Review performance data to optimize future creativity. This role requires 5-10 years of copywriting experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating direct response principles. Experience in fintech or a similar industry is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Copywriter, with significant time spent writing for video and TV
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a strong command of direct response (DR) principles, in addition to brand-focused work
  • Proven ability to write compelling, punchy copy that captivates audiences in short-form video
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate your creative vision to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the TV production process, including experience on set and working with directors, producers, and editors

Responsibilities

  • Lead the conceptual development and execution of video and TV campaigns, including scripts for :15 and :30 second spots
  • Craft engaging and effective scripts for various video platforms, including YouTube, OTT, and paid social
  • Develop scripts for user-generated content (UGC) and talking points for influencer and podcast host collaborations
  • Collaborate with our internal creative team and external agencies to bring ideas to life, from initial concept to final production
  • Opportunity to stretch your creative muscles across other channels as needed, including email marketing and paid social
  • Understand consumer research and pain points to write compelling, persuasive copy with clear CTAs to drive conversion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure a consistent and cohesive brand voice across all consumer touch points
  • Review performance data to understand what's working and what's not, and use those insights to optimize future creativity

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a fintech or similar industry (e.g., SaaS, subscription-based services, non-physical products) is a huge plus
