Requirements

  • A Computer Science, Engineering or STEM background
  • Documented experience in similar positions, on ETL and data integration
  • 3-4+ years of experience in Data Engineering
  • Proven experience with ETL processes and tools – on-prem & cloud
  • Hands-on experience with data extraction from SAP
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure)
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and practices
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading
  • Experience with ETL tools
  • Knowledge of Python for ETL processes on cloud
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data services (Azure)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

  • As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Analytics & AI team, dedicated to the Data Analytics transformation project for one of the company’s value centers. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining ETL processes to facilitate and automate their data extraction needs and the creation of a Data mart to accommodate this data
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to support data integration between on-premises and cloud environments
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through the implementation of validation and reconciliation processes
  • Document ETL processes, data flows, and data architectures to ensure transparency and reproducibility
  • Develop and implement data migration plans to transition data from on-premises systems to the cloud

  • Experience with Fabric and Airflow other cloud orchestration tools
  • Knowledge of distributed Data technologies such as Spark, Databricks, Synapse
  • Experience working with various types of data, such as financial or manufacturing data
  • Experience in collaborating with Data Science / ML engineering teams
