Summary

The job is for a Data Engineer at Rocket Lab's IT team responsible for curating datasets, developing data pipelines, maintaining data platforms, and contributing to data housekeeping tasks. The ideal candidate should have an IT or Computer Science degree, 1-4 years of experience in a technical role with strong SQL skills, Python, R, or C# experience, excellent communication skills, advanced problem-solving skills, great attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.

Requirements

• IT or Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification
• 1-4+ years' experience in a technical role
• Strong SQL is a must, alongside experience in Python, R, or C#
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to a general audience
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
• Great attention to detail
• Exceptional multitasker, displaying excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to learn or pick up new concepts or technology quickly
• Experience with coaching and mentoring more junior members of the team
• Ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to collaborate within or outside team

Preferred Qualifications
