Summary

Join Stand Together's growing analytics and data operations team as a Data Engineer. You will build and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines using SQL and AWS technologies, integrating data from diverse sources. Optimize data delivery, automate processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights. Implement data quality, security, and performance standards, supporting analytics and data science teams. This role requires 2-4 years of data engineering experience, proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, and cloud platform experience (preferably AWS). The position is open to both HQ-based and remote candidates.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in a data engineering role
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Working knowledge of ETL tools and data warehouse platforms like Snowflake
  • Programming experience in Python or similar scripting languages
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques (e.g., indexing, partitioning, caching)
  • Awareness of security best practices in data handling and infrastructure
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques and experience designing semantic layers to support BI and analytics tools
  • Experience designing and implementing data pipelines using medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers) to support scalable and maintainable data systems
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines using SQL and AWS technologies
  • Integrate and transform data from diverse sources using tools like Fivetran, Hevo, or AWS Glue
  • Optimize data delivery and automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights
  • Implement and monitor data quality, security, and performance standards
  • Support analytics and data science teams with tools and infrastructure for experimentation and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working toward a total view of the customerβ€”such as building a 360-degree customer profile across multiple data sources
  • Familiarity with social media analytics (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Instagram)
