Summary
Join HackerOne as a Data Engineer IV and lead the development of high-performance data products and solutions. You will be instrumental in building the foundation of our lakehouse architecture and scaling our cutting-edge AI. This role offers autonomy to contribute to challenging projects and collaborate across the company. Leveraging your expertise, you will drive innovation. The position is primarily remote with occasional in-person requirements in Washington, DC or Austin, TX. HackerOne offers a flexible work approach and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role w/ proven track record of developing data frameworks (preferably using Python)
- 5+ years of building and optimizing data pipelines, products, and solutions
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong proficiency in working with various data technologies and tools such as Airflow, Snowflake, Meltano, Fivetran, DBT, AWS, and Looker
- Strong programming skills, knowledge of algorithms, and data structures
- Must be based remotely in Washington DC or Austin, Tx metropolitan areas

- Deliver impact on a department level with consistent contribution of high-quality, high-impact code
- Contribute to the continuous evolution and innovation of data at HackerOne
- Lean into cross-departmental collaboration to enhance these efforts
- Deliver impact by consistently contributing high-quality, high-impact code, and by leading and delivering cross-functional product and technical initiatives
- Contribute to highly complex design processes, balance competing priorities, and adapt to shifting business objectives
- Support continuous evolution and innovation within the DataOne codebase and engineering processes
- Champion a higher bar for discoverability, usability, reliability, timeliness, consistency, validity, uniqueness, simplicity, completeness, integrity, security, and compliance of information and insights across the company
- Offer subject matter expertise while helping to build a culture of continuous learning and growth
