Data Entry Specialist

Summary

As a Data Entry/Fingerprinting Specialist at the Children's Refugee Shelter, you will be responsible for accurately inputting data, conducting fingerprinting processes, verifying data accuracy, collaborating with various departments, adhering to confidentiality protocols, maintaining and calibrating equipment, and generating reports. The role contributes to the safety and streamlined operations of a sanctuary dedicated to serving refugee children.

Requirements

• Previous experience in data entry, fingerprinting, or related fields
• Proficiency in using database software and fingerprinting equipment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Basic troubleshooting skills for fingerprinting equipment

Responsibilities

• Accurately input relevant data into the shelter's database system, ensuring all details are up-to-date and organized
• Conduct fingerprinting processes for our personnel, as part of the shelter's security and identification protocols
• Verify the accuracy of existing data, correcting any discrepancies and maintaining data integrity
• Collaborate with various departments, such as HR and Admin, to obtain necessary information and documentation
• Adhere strictly to confidentiality protocols, ensuring that sensitive information remains secure
• Maintain and calibrate fingerprinting equipment, ensuring its consistent functionality
• Generate regular reports as required by the Site Manager or Program Director

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual capabilities, especially in Spanish, are considered an advantage though not mandatory
