Summary
Join ITHAKA's Data Intelligence team as a summer 2025 intern! This 12-week internship, partially funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, offers hands-on experience in data governance, analytics, modeling, and processing. You'll contribute to data model building, documentation, and visualization, working with Databricks, Tableau, and other tools. The role involves collaboration with senior analysts and the Data Literacy team. The internship pays $20.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Actively enrolled in a bachelorโs or masterโs degree program in data science, computer engineering, mathematics, information systems, business analytics, business intelligence, or applied statistics
- Proficiency in Spark SQL and version control tools like Gitlab and Github
- Familiarity with Python
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Databricks, and Tableau (or similar platforms) for data analysis, visualization, and insights generation
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Constant desire to learn and improve skills
- Able to convey complicated data concepts verbally and in writing
- Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable solutions
- Have a connection to Michigan (attending a college/university in the state, residing in Michigan, or having personal ties to the area)
Responsibilities
- Contribute to building our data model, including building Databricks workflows that create industry-standard data products
- Document our data products to improve the accuracy and value of information provided by AI tools available to stakeholders and contributors
- Assist with building Tableau workbooks
- Participate in team projects and share ideas
- Partner with the Data Literacy team to improve data product discovery
