Data Intern

Summary

Join Servus Credit Union as a Summer Data Intern and contribute to a data-driven organization. This full-time temporary role, based in Calgary or Edmonton, offers the opportunity to learn from data experts and gain hands-on experience in data analysis and management. You will assist with tasks such as collecting and cleaning data, organizing and storing data in a database, analyzing data using SQL, creating visualizations and reports, and collaborating with team members on data-related projects. This role is ideal for individuals with basic SQL or Python skills and a post-secondary education in computer technology or IT.

Requirements

• Basic skill level in SQL and/or Python
• Post-secondary education in computer technology or IT related discipline from an accredited institution

Responsibilities

• Collecting and cleaning data from various sources
• Organizing and storing data in a database
• Analyzing data using statistical techniques and software such as SQL
• Creating visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders
• Assisting with data-driven projects and decision-making
• Assisting in the creation of technical documentation
• Collaborating with other team members on data-related tasks
