Summary
Join RVO Health's Data Platform team as a technical leader supporting innovative projects for various businesses. You will design, implement, and maintain the company's data cloud infrastructure, applications, and tools, focusing on cost optimization. Collaborate with data engineering teams to address security gaps and participate in incident response and root cause analysis. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and policies. Stay updated on the latest advancements in application and infrastructure security and AI. This role requires 3+ years of experience in platform or data engineering and a solid understanding of cloud principles and services (AWS preferred).
Requirements
- At least 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, data engineering, or a related role
- Solid understanding of cloud principles, architectures, and services (AWS preferred)
- Hands on experience with Terraform
- Some hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Datalakes (S3), Data-Warehouses, and Data Structure or equivalent experience
- A general understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST CSF, HIPAA)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
- A working knowledge of cost optimization / reporting as it relates to SaaS spend
- A general understanding of the A.I landscape and evolving technologies
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain the company's Data cloud infrastructure, applications, tools and cost optimization efforts
- Partner with Data Engineering teams to create visibility and awareness of security gaps and work to prioritize their resolution in a collaborative way
- Monitor and respond to incidents, investigate and resolve root causes, and participate in blameless post mortems
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, and policies in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA,PHI, PII)
- Stay informed of the latest developments in tactics, techniques, and procedures related to application & infrastructure, and AI advancements
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Data engineering experience
- In depth knowledge of cost optimization and reduction
- In depth knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake or other data tools
- Some understanding of software development and the SDLC
