Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in a technical role requiring advanced knowledge of data pipelines, data integration, and data quality initiatives
- Proven experience in managing and leading technical teams
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and orchestration tools
- Familiarity with relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, as well as object data stores like Snowflake and DynamoDB
- Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data warehouses, and business intelligence tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in requirements analysis and writing functional specs
- Experience using Jira or similar task management platforms
- Experience in data governance, standardization, and harmonization of large data sets and high velocity batch and real-time data feeds, including Web traffic, advertising, and performance at scale
Responsibilities
- Oversee the team designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and models using tools like DBT, Snowflake, Airflow, and AWS
- Drive the development of innovative approaches to manage datasets involving millions of daily active users and terabytes of data using iterative data transformation and model AI strategies
- Stay current with data management techniques; contribute to high-visibility, client-impact data pipeline projects
- Help shape the data product strategy and roadmap to align with Fetch and client business goals
- Manage and mentor a team of skilled data professionals, fostering professional growth and ensuring high team and individual performance
- Oversee project planning, prioritization, and execution, aligning efforts with organizational goals and individuals’ development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams(data engineers, analytics engineers, product managers, and analysts) on product development and operational support
- Meet with Fetch data product clients to share product knowledge and roadmaps
- Support client communication to address operational issues, incident reports, and change requests
- Translate client needs into practical requirements and scalable technical solutions
- Guide clients in understanding and deriving value from shared data through requirements gathering, technical guidance, and consultation
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one imperative programming language (e.g., Python)
- Experience deploying and managing cloud resources on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience implementing data quality, data governance, or disaster recovery initiatives
- Proclivity for building and experimenting with different tools and tech, and sharing your learnings with the broader organization
