Data Science Intern

Requirements

• Demonstrable history of projects that are either sports-focused or are related to building novel approaches to machine learning
• Strong technical or math/statistics background. Computer science, statistics, math, physics, economics, etc. major
• Strong coding skills - Python, SQL
• Interest in sports and fantasy sports markets
• You must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S

Responsibilities

• Learn from the PrizePicks data science team on how we approach the most difficult sports modeling problems
• Contribute to model development, iteration, and data collection
• Research new initiatives and model unique approaches to problems in fantasy sports

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with lower-level programming languages - Rust, Java, C++
• Demonstrable background/coursework building machine learning algorithms from scratch
• Success in open-source projects e.g. Big Data Bowl, Kaggle, school research labs
