Data Science Team Lead

Summary

Join Trendyol, a dynamic and agile e-commerce company with over 30 million customers and 250,000 sellers. As part of the Technology Team, you will build scalable platforms using up-to-date technologies to create a positive impact in the ecosystem by enabling commerce through technology. The Data Science department consists of 90+ data scientists organized under several domains, with the Listing Tribe focusing on Search, Pre-Search, and Seller Ads.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in a variety of machine learning modeling techniques
• Understanding of ecommerce domain and search engine technologies
• Familiarity with search ranking algorithms, information retrieval techniques, and deep learning based CTR models
• Familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, xgboost and lightgbm
• Proven expertise working with large data sets in multiple Data Science areas such as Statistical Methods, Statistical/Machine Learning, Time Series, Natural Language Processing, etc
• Experience with experimentation and causal observational analysis
• Expert knowledge of Python, SQL (Spark or similar big data technologies is a plus)
• Experience in Cloud based environments, specifically Google

Responsibilities

• Guide team members through solutions and assist them with technical challenges
• Oversee the research process and guide the team through paper implementations
• Oversee the algorithm implementation infrastructure deciding process, identifying infrastructure shortcomings, determining necessary improvements, and following up on issues to ensure a smooth process flow
