Summary

Anaplan is seeking an experienced Data Scientist with at least 5-7 years of work experience to join their GTM Operations team. The Data Scientist will drive data-driven decision making, develop advanced analytical models, and provide actionable insights to support Anaplan’s aggressive growth targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline. A Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field is a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data science, including hands-on experience in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling. Previous experience in a similar industry or domain is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar tools for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling
  • Deep understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time series analysis, and clustering

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets, extract valuable insights, and develop predictive models to support GTM activities covering sales, marketing, and customer success
  • Collect, clean, and transform raw data from various sources to ensure data quality and integrity. Perform exploratory data analysis to understand trends, patterns, and relationships that can drive actionable recommendations
  • Design, build, and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms and statistical methodologies. Evaluate model performance and iterate as necessary to improve accuracy and effectiveness
  • Work closely with GTM cross-functional team to identify and define data requirements, goals, and success criteria and collaborate on the integration of data-driven solutions into existing systems and processes
  • Communicate insights and findings: Present complex data analysis results and actionable insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Effectively communicate the value and implications of data-driven recommendations to drive informed decision-making
  • Act as a team lead and oversee the work of junior team members across data science and reporting, ensuring timeliness and quality of work output
