This is a remote-first role with occasional travel.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Data Science role with hands-on model development
  • Strong Python skills, with a focus on algorithms and data structures
  • Experience with modern software development practices (e.g. version control, reproducibility)
  • Proficiency with visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with business stakeholders to educate and demonstrate the impact of data-driven decision-making
  • Develop and Implement Solutions: Build and deploy machine learning solutions to address key business challenges and improve operational efficiency
  • Communicate Complex Insights: Present statistical concepts and findings in an accessible way to non-technical audiences, driving data-informed decision-making
  • Drive Business Impact: Leverage data science to recommend and implement innovative solutions that deliver tangible commercial value
  • Contribute High-Quality Code : Write robust Python code and contribute to packages that benefit the broader data science and analytical community

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics)
  • Experience with machine learning in academic or commercial settings
  • Strong grasp of probability, statistical significance, and regression analysis
  • SQL proficiency and experience with cloud-based data platforms
