Summary
Join HealthCare.com, a rapidly growing insurtech company, as a Data Scientist! You will use SQL, Snowflake, and various machine learning tools to analyze data, optimize models, and create insightful reports. Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python (data science and engineering libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, flask)
- Strong SQL skills with a proven ability to write complex queries (experience with Snowflake is a plus)
- Understanding of decision tree models (XGBoost, LightGBM, etc.) and experience in applied machine learning
- Experience maintaining ML models in production and optimizing APIs
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles (code optimization, version control, CI/CD)
Responsibilities
- Conduct SQL-based analysis using Snowflake to derive actionable insights and support decision-making
- Maintain and optimize machine learning models, APIs, and decision-tree-based algorithms in production
- Analyze unstructured logs generated by data science models and provide meaningful summaries
- Develop and automate ETL pipelines in Airflow running on Kubernetes for data ingestion and transformation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize infrastructure and minimize model response times
- Create clear visualizations, reports, or presentations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Stay current with data science trends and apply best practices to improve model performance and efficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Airflow and Kubernetes for pipeline automation
- Domain knowledge in health insurance, lead scoring, or online lead funnels
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and presenting findings
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
