This role requires a Master's degree in a relevant field, 1-2 years of data science experience, and proficiency in Python and SQL. Requirements
- You have a Masterβs degree in Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- 1-2 years of relevant data science experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams
- Skilled in statistical analysis and have hands-on experience with the standard data science stack (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Jupyter, matplotlib)
- Familiar with best practices in coding, including the use of Git, code reviews, linting, and testing
- Good coding skills in Python and SQL
Responsibilities
- Work on improving our pricing models & algorithms, as well as develop new tools to optimise our e-commerce revenue
- Conduct data exploration, cleaning, transformation, and visualisation to uncover trends and patterns
- Perform statistical analysis to support business decisions
- Develop machine learning models for classification, clustering, forecasting
- Present data insights efficiently and impactfully to stakeholders
- Write high-quality code, participate in code reviews, and ensure best practices in coding standards
- Utilise tools such as Python, SQL, and shell scripts for data processing and analysis
- Work with standard data science libraries and frameworks
- Implement solutions on cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud
- Productise models using REST APIs and Docker
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in e-commerce
- Experience in BigQuery and PostgreSQL
