Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field
• 6 years of data science related experience, with at least 2 of those years in a social or biomedical science related field
• Proven experience as a Data Science Analyst, with a focus on data analysis, modeling, and visualization
• Proficient in coding languages such as Python or R, data manipulation tools like SQL, and cloud platforms like Azure
• Strong knowledge of statistical and machine learning techniques
• Experience manipulating data in NVivo or other coding platforms
• Thorough knowledge of English grammar, syntax, spelling, punctuation, and abbreviation
• Ability to learn and navigate web-based system such as SharePoint, Teams, and other electronic business systems
• Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues, research staff, and other business operations professionals to understand requirements and explain data projects

Responsibilities

• Extract and transform raw data from multiple sources into meaningful and actionable insights
• Aggregate coded comment data to surface themes and insights
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation, cleaning processes, and best practices for data management
• Design and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and generate insights from large and complex data sets
• Develop coding frameworks using NVivo, R, or other coding platforms
• Develop training materials and co-lead training events
• Develop client reports using aggregated data
• Track and process progress reports using an electronic database
• Review documents for accuracy and collaborating with team members to resolve any discrepancies
• Present findings and recommendations to key decision-makers in a clear and concise manner
