Summary
Join Xebia, a global technology company specializing in cloud-based solutions, as a Data Scientist. You will contribute to pricing and promotion recommendation tools and pricing elasticity modeling. This role involves collaborating with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and product management to implement enhancements, develop new features, and translate business requirements into data science and analytics initiatives. You will be responsible for a wide range of data-related tasks, from reporting and analytics requests to implementing and analyzing machine learning models. The ideal candidate possesses strong Python and SQL skills, experience with Spark, proficiency in Git and GitHub, and familiarity with Google Cloud (GCP).
Requirements
- Ready to start up to 4 weeks
- 4+ years' experience in developing data science and analytics solutions in a business setting
- Experience with regression, linear/non-linear optimization, classification and segmentation problems
- Strong Python skills required
- Strong SQL skills
- Proficiency working with Spark
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to derive conclusions and questions from data patterns
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub
- Familiarity with Google Cloud (GCP)
- Understanding of basic software engineering best practices to write reusable code that can easily be put into production
- Team player, always willing to support your colleagues to the best of your ability
- Proactive mindset towards problem-solving, a βcan-doβ attitude is expected
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills and proficiency in communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required
Responsibilities
- You will work on and contribute to: Pricing and Promotion recommendation tools Pricing elasticity modeling
- You will be: working with data scientists, analysts, engineers and product management to implement enhancements, develop new features and translate business requirements into our data science and analytics initiatives, delivering on a wide spectrum of data-related tasks, ranging from reporting and analytics requests to the implementation and analysis of machine learning models, developing good quality code that is easily scalable and automated, working alongside engineers to ensure seamless integration of your work with tools that are live in a production environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Docker and orchestration tools is a plus
- Experience using visualization tools like Tableau or Looker Studio
