Summary
Join our team as a Data Engineer with 7-15 years of experience in data science or data analytics. You will be responsible for supporting Data Governance initiatives, building high-quality applications and data pipelines, and ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL processes is essential. You will collaborate with various teams to design and implement robust data management solutions and lead a data engineering team. Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure/AWS) is preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to professional integrity.
Requirements
- 7-15 years experience in data science or data analytics
- Experience in reviewing and building dimensional data models to improve accessibility, efficiency and quality of data
- Experience in leading, hiring, developing, and building data engineering team and providing them technical direction
- Should be proficient in writing Advanced SQLs, expertise in performance tuning of SQLs
- ETL coding for development and design practices
- Demonstrate good understanding of development processes and agile methodologies
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Jupyter/Colab notebooks
- Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL unstructured and structured data
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL language, as well as working knowledge of common transformation methodologies, techniques, and tools
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support for the existing ETL processes, procedures, as well as the ability to design, code and deploy new ETL pipelines to support application and business needs
- Develop an effective working relationship with Data Analysts, Data Architects, Database Administrators, and others in designing, developing, and implementing robust data management solutions
- Demonstrate the ability to translate business rules into ETL code while adhering to best ETL development and design practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting Data Governance initiatives desired: Data Quality, Metadata Management (Data Cataloging, Data Lineage), Master Data Management, Data Security
- Experience in building high quality applications, data pipelines and analytics solutions ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency in other software engineering languages and/or methodologies
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure/AWS, and familiarity with GCP
