Data Validation Associate

Summary

The Data Validation Associate is responsible for detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent activities at 'Panel', collaborating with different departments to minimize fraud risks, and contributing to the development of robust fraud prevention strategies.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED required
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with repetitive, complex data
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activities
• Collaborate with various departments to identify and minimize fraud risks
• Review new accounts for quality, completeness, and validity
• Verify user-provided account details against online databases and registries
• Identify inconsistencies or irregularities in the provided data
• Inactivate/flag accounts that show signs of poor quality or fraudulent activity
• Analyze large datasets to uncover hidden patterns or trends associated with fraudulent behavior
• Monitor transactional data, online interactions, and user behavior to identify suspicious patterns or anomalies
• Utilize fraud detection tools and technologies to spot potential fraud cases
• Assist in reviewing accounts flagged by other teams to evaluate for fraud
• Inactivate/flag accounts that show signs of fraudulent activity
• Actively participate in team meetings, sharing findings and asking questions to ensure SOPs are followed
• Follow all standard operating procedures for all data validation processes, providing recommendations for improvement as appropriate
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on data validations, fraud trends, incidents, and mitigation efforts

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in fraud detection, investigation, or a related field is preferred
