Database Administrator

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years in database administration within enterprise systems
• Experience supporting both on-premises and cloud-based, with preference for Treasury and IRS experience
• Familiarity with database monitoring and tuning tools
• Must have active or ability to obtain IRS MBI clearance

Responsibilities

• Design and implement optimized and scalable relational and columnar databases in AWS (RDS, Redshift) and hybrid environment
• Assist in modernizing and migrating legacy databases (e.g., Oracle and DB2) to cloud-native platforms
• Monitor and improve database performance through indexing, query optimization, and storage configuration
• Conduct routing maintenance, patching, schema updates, and data migration tasks with minimal downtime
• Work closely with cross-functional and vendor teams to deliver seamless data operations and project execution
