Requirements

• Senior DBA with business-level English language skills
• 5+ years of experience in database administration
• Experience in AWS and RDS Aurora
• Proven ability to manage database infrastructures in AWS (RDS & EC2)
• Strong background knowledge of database technologies especially MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Dynamodb, Redis
• Data lake and structures knowledge, especially Databricks
• Strong hands-on experience in optimization and tuning of database queries, and performance troubleshooting, mainly for MySQL and Postgres
• Experience in designing CI/CD for SQL implementations
• Experience in deployment and configuration of databases using Terraform/Ansible
• Experience in DBMS configuration, upgrade, archiving and migration
• Deep understanding of high availability and disaster recovery for storage solutions
• Team collaboration, proactive ownership and follow-up skills

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS databases (RDS, OpenSearch, DynamoDB)
• Configure, upgrade, migrate, and ensure database high availability
• Optimize queries and troubleshoot MySQL/Postgres performance issues
• Design CI/CD pipelines for SQL deployments and automate with Terraform/Ansible
• Design and plan backup schema
• Ensure disaster recovery, data security, and compliance
• Collaborate with teams, take ownership of projects, and follow up proactively
• Apply data modeling best practices and support scalable database solutions
• Optimize database efficiency and costs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS DevOps services and technologies like IAM, AMIs, SNS, SQS, S3, EC2, EBS, VPC, EKS, Route 53 and security groups
• PostgreSQL administration
• MongoDB and general NoSQL knowledge
• Data modeling best practices
• AWS Certifications
