Summary
Join T-Rex Solutions as a GCP Database Administrator to support the US Department of the Treasury's TCloud initiative. This role involves modernizing legacy applications using GCP and Google Doc AI. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining database objects, developing stored procedures, managing user accounts, writing and tuning queries, and advising on data models. Collaboration with clients and the development team is crucial. The position requires a US citizenship, a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 8+ years of experience, GCP and PostgreSQL expertise, and strong analytical and communication skills. IRS experience and an existing clearance are highly preferred.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and at least 8 years' experience
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Postgres DBA and PostgreSQL experience
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Responsibilities
- Create database objects, such as tables, and maintain the database build script
- Develop stored procedures, stored functions, triggers and views
- Create database user accounts and grant appropriate privileges to those accounts
- Write and tune queries
- Advise and create data models utilizing database best practices
- Review database code and queries to make sure standards are met
- Support the developers and testers and make sure that there are no impediments to the development team
- Work directly with clients as a database SME and coordinate across clients and the Deloitte team to gather, prioritize, and address database needs
- Establish database development standards for developers
- Build sandbox, integration and test database environments for developers and tester
Preferred Qualifications
IRS experience and/or an existing IRS clearance is highly preferred
