Summary

Join NT Concepts as a Database Developer and contribute to the modernization of the DoD's Military Housing system. This remote position, with occasional travel to the DC metro area, requires a current active DOD Secret clearance. Requirements

  • Working knowledge and experience with Oracle DB, PL/SQL, and SQL
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing Oracle packages, procedures, triggers, indexes, and functions
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience supporting database development
  • Understanding of Oracle database design, theories, and data retrieval procedures adopted by applications
  • Experience with query tools such as Toad or SQL Developer
  • Working knowledge and experience with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration
  • Basic understanding of database security best practices
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and tools
  • Highly self-motivated with the capability to independently analyze codebases and perform in-depth research with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (IT, Information Security, Database Administration)
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Understanding of Agile software development
  • Current active DOD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views to support enterprise applications
  • Analyze and enhance existing database modules, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with project requirements
  • Respond to and resolve customer questions or issues related to Oracle databases, focusing on PL/SQL-based solutions
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration between Oracle database operations and application requirements
  • Perform database tuning and optimization to enhance query performance
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database components, processes, and updates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Java, C#, or Python
  • Experience with Linux, Shell Scripting
  • Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
