Database Engineer

Summary

The Database Engineer at Ascend Analytics will work on mission-critical decision analytics for renewable and battery storage power providers worldwide. They will design and write scalable code, refactor for improved performance, implement data systems, collaborate with various teams, and contribute to scoping and design discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University in CS, Physics, Mathematics, or other technical field
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse/Solution Design and Dimensional Modeling
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and OLAP defining, developing, and delivering data and analysis
• Relational Databases
• Multidimensional Databases
• Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
• Oracle/PostGreSQL RDBMS
• Proficiency in OOPs
• Visual Studios Data Tools
• Complex SQL Language
• MDX Language

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in programming related to applied mathematical, engineering, and physical sciences
• Performance computing, including distributed and parallel computing technologies
• Oracle and PL/SQL
• Power BI experience
