Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in compliance, preferably in the payments or fintech industry, with experience in scaling compliance frameworks for U.S. business operations
- Deep knowledge of U.S regulatory requirements, including AML, OFAC, BSA, and consumer protection regulations, as well as licensing requirements for financial businesses
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to assess complex compliance issues and implement effective solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in compliance management software and tools, aiding in process automation and monitoring
- Proven experience or familiarity with AI agents and data-driven models used for compliance process optimization
- Currently live in the United States and have valid work authorization
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including anti-money laundering (AML) and consumer protection laws
- Implement compliance and risk management frameworks tailored to U.S. financial services, aligning with federal and state regulations and industry standards
- Conduct continuous risk assessments and update internal controls to identify areas of vulnerability and non-compliance
- Oversee the preparation and submission of required money transmission licenses and regulatory applications, managing all phases until final approval, when necessary
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure that the companyโs policies adapt to changes in regulatory requirements
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and support internal audits to identify areas of risk
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators and auditors, responding to inquiries and overseeing regulatory filings, and coordinating audit preparations and remediations
- Lead training initiatives to educate employees on regulatory compliance standards and ethical business practices, enhancing a culture of compliance across the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AML, legal, risk, and product development, to embed compliance into all aspects of CloudWalkโs business
- Investigate and respond to potential compliance issues, recommending corrective actions when necessary, and implementing an incident response plan
- Define and monitor compliance performance metrics (KPIs), providing regular reports to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Establish and maintain partnerships with key compliance stakeholders across CloudWalk's partner network, ensuring regulatory alignment and risk mitigation
- Leverage AI-driven compliance agents and advanced automation tools to streamline daily compliance monitoring, reporting, and remediation processes
- Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art AI models and machine learning techniques to enhance compliance analytics, improve risk detection, and minimize human error
- Utilize cutting-edge technological solutions to automate and optimize compliance workflows, ensuring efficient tracking of regulatory changes and swift implementation of corrective measures
- Demonstrate a passion for technology, innovation, and the continuous improvement of compliance frameworks through enhanced automation and data-driven decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or similar certification
