Summary

ALTEN Mexico is looking for a Design and Release Engineer Expert to be responsible for engineering, design, development, timing, and production release of systems and components for various projects. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure the successful development and release of products. They will manage Design Verification Plans & Reports (DVP&R) and validation plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 6+ YOE in automotive industry
• Strong leader with entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to sell ideas to all stakeholders
• Capability in problem solving and root-causing
• Must be self-sufficient with ability to influence, manage and lead others (including suppliers) without formal authority
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities
• Basic financial understanding with ability to maintain program budget
• Ability to proactively communicate with other colleagues, stakeholders, program management, and supervisors
• Experience and confidence in communicating status to a varied audience including top management
• Ability to effectively operate both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to create effective presentations
• Ability and knowledge to lead and manage suppliers

Responsibilities

• Engineering, design, development, timing and production release of systems and components for various projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and ensure the successful development and release of products
• Manage Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) and validation plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
• Technical program management for one or more vehicle lines by being the key point of contact between the design team and all other functional areas such as vehicle program management, engineering departments and manufacturing
• Ensure that systems meet all functional and performance requirements while meeting cost, weight, investment, timing, and quality objectives
• Support Manufacturing/Product Execution in defining the correct assembly and test operations to guarantee the vehicle conformity to client’s expectations and conduct problem solving activities at the assembly plant from pilot phase through launch
