Design Systems Architect

You will lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a component system, driving initiatives for modern design systems. Requirements

• Experience in creating and maintaining extensive design systems or component libraries
• 10 years of programming experience, with a focus on component-based architecture
• Deep expertise in at least one modern framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js) and a solid understanding of Web Components
• Advanced knowledge of Storybook.js – creating, testing, and documenting components
• Practical experience in component testing (unit, visual, regression tests)
• Ability to influence coding standards and processes within the organization
• Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• English at a level enabling fluent communication within the team

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a modern design system tailored to the organization's needs
• Create and develop a component library ensuring UI consistency and scalability
• Implement and promote best practices in component-based architecture within the organization
• Mentor the frontend team and participate in key technical decisions
• Maintain and develop component documentation using Storybook.js
• Create and implement a component testing strategy (unit, visual, regression)
• Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure top-quality UI

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with multiple frontend frameworks
• Active contribution to open-source projects or design systems
• Experience in public speaking or writing technical articles related to frontend development or design systems
