Designer (CAD)

Summary

The job is for a CAD Designer / Engineering Specialist with 10 years of experience in site development projects. The role involves working on multi-discipline public and private projects and requires an Associate’s Degree, proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive design experience with site development projects including site layouts, roadway design, vehicular and/or pedestrian access, site grading, utility plan and profiles, and plan preparation
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to participate in project team meetings and interact directly with clients and technical professionals on a frequent basis

Responsibilities

Work on multi-discipline public and private projects, including industrial, commercial development, utility infrastructure and facility design, stormwater management systems, and corporate and academic campus design

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience performing surveying operations including operation of instruments, recording and interpretation of data, and survey processing
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, site visits, etc.; Occasional overnight travel may be required
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
