Developer - Golang

Summary

Join OpenZeppelin's Open Source Development team as an Open Source Developer and contribute to a new open-source library. Collaborate with the community to define the library's roadmap, design, implement, test, and document smart contract features and supporting components. Present at community events to share OpenZeppelin's work. This role requires 3+ years of software engineering experience, 2+ years of professional Golang programming experience, and 1+ year of experience with public blockchains. A degree or equivalent experience in computer science is needed. The position is 100% remote, with flexible time off and other benefits.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering
• 2+ years of professional Golang programming experience
• 1+ years of experience with one or more public blockchains
• Experience with AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc)
• Strong desire to further your education about the blockchain space
• A degree or equivalent experience in computer science
• Prior experience working remotely: strong personal organizational skills, a love for self-time management, and ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Advanced English communication skills — all of our internal and external communication is in English

Responsibilities

• Work with the community to define the library roadmap and design, implement, test, and document the smart contract features and supporting components
• Participate and present at community events to share information on OpenZeppelin's work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with smart contracts
• Experience contributing to open source projects
• Experience presenting at blockchain or open source community events
• Knowledge on Non-EVM blockchains
