Developer Relations Engineer

Summary

Astria is seeking a DevRel Engineer to collaborate closely with the core development team, maintain documentation, develop tutorials, support release processes, and participate in marketing and business development efforts. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience as a developer or engineer, 1+ years of DevRel experience, and is a strong communicator with excellent technical writing and presentation skills.

Requirements

• A strong communicator with excellent technical writing and presentation skills
• 3+ years of experience as a developer or engineer
• 1+ years of DevRel experience
• Experience with at least one backend language (e.g. Go, Rust, C++, Java)
• Experience with ‘cloud native’ development (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Experience assisting external partners and developers
• Familiar with open-source software development tools like Github

Responsibilities

• Contribute to writing, testing, and reviewing code across several repositories
• Own support for integrations and partnerships between external partners and core developers
• Participate in calls with partners, providing debugging support across various channels
• Provide feedback to engineering and product to incorporate community input into our backlog
• Develop demos showcasing the use of Astria’s offering
• Attend and present at conferences for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Actively represent Astria within the global developer community

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Distributed systems
• Experience building with smart contract platforms
