Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years experience in designing renewable energy infrastructure layouts and solving real estate and permitting challenges
  • Solid understanding of civil design principles, technical diligence processes, and EPC construction standards for renewable energy projects
  • Working knowledge of wind, including system design, optimization, and cost drivers
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks, analyze opportunities, and make sound engineering decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a cross-functional and collaborative environment
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities

  • Support project development from concept to completion, identifying and mitigating design, budget, and schedule risks
  • Own and manage site constraint maps, layouts, designs, and system specifications, coordinating with external consultants
  • Optimize site layouts for efficient land use, considering factors like equipment selection, topography, environmental constraints, and permitting requirements
  • Manage and coordinate site technical diligence activities, including hydrology, geotechnical, and transportation studies
  • Lead civil and structural design aspects, including cost/value engineering and design reviews
  • Manage and coordinate crossing designs and negotiations with utilities and other stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience knowledge of solar and battery storage technologies
  • Experience in grading, stormwater management, and erosion control
  • Familiarity with automated layout tools and geospatial analysis software
  • Experience with all phases of project development, from siting to construction
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D
