Summary

Join Paddle's DX team as a Senior Frontend Engineer and help build a world-class developer experience for our billing platform. You will work on the platform powering developer.paddle.com, develop and maintain public libraries used by millions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and delightful developer experience. Responsibilities include shaping the design system, developing new functionality, maturing API practices, driving innovation, and working with AWS products. You'll also contribute to the team's culture and help make Paddle an exceptional place to work. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in frontend development with React and TypeScript, experience with build tools, checkout/payment systems, and a user-centric design philosophy. This role offers a chance to work on impactful projects and contribute to a growing company.

Requirements

  • A technical skill set includes: Next.js, TypeScript, React/Vue, Node, RTL/Jest, Jenkins or any other CI/CD platform
  • Implemented high performing front-end applications in agile Product teams
  • A strong understanding of API principles and best practices
  • Experience producing SDKs, either open source or in-house, or other developer tooling
  • A keen eye for good UX and DX, and a desire to provide the slickest experience you can to your users

Responsibilities

  • Help shape the design system and work on the platform that powers developer.paddle.com
  • Develop and maintain public libraries used by millions of people
  • Work with colleagues across product and engineering to ensure the customer-facing developer experience we provide is cohesive, powerful, and delightful
  • Develop new functionality which empowers our product teams and help provide our customers with everything they need to onboard, build and evolve with Paddle
  • Help mature our API practices and processes to speed up the development of the Paddle API ensuring it remains cohesive, consistent and bug-free
  • Drive innovation with new features that will delight developers
  • Work with a variety of AWS products to ensure Paddle is able to deliver a performant and reliable service, including Cloudfront, S3 and a lot more
  • Help shape our team and wider engineering culture and help make sure Paddle remains an exceptional place to work

Preferred Qualifications

  • An interest in, or have worked with Laravel
  • Experience working closely with Product designers and pairing for ideation sessions
