Join Bosch Rexroth and contribute to our innovative drive and control technologies! This 6-month, part-time working student position (10 hours/week) focuses on investigating custom parsing methods for technical documents, fine-tuning LLMs for industrial hydraulics, and evaluating prompt-tuning methods. The role offers flexible remote work within Germany, with occasional on-site visits. You will work independently, experimenting with cutting-edge technologies. Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and basic experience with Linux, Python scripting, and machine learning or NLP concepts. German language proficiency is required.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor studies in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or a comparable degree program in Computer Science
- Basic in Linux
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting
- Basic knowledge (can be coursework, personal projects or practical exposure) in at least one of the following: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts, information retrieval, vector databases or Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
- You are an independent and autonomous individual with a strong ability to learn and a willingness to familiarize yourself with new subject areas
- Good in German
- Enrollment at university
Responsibilities
- Investigate custom parsing methods for technical documents as a preparation step for vector database embedding
- Fine-tune and extend LLMs for domain-specific use in industrial hydraulics
- Evaluate prompt-tuning methods for tailored results from LLMs
