Join our team as a DevOps & Data Engineer, focusing on compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and other regulations. This role blends DevOps, Data Engineering, and Security Compliance, requiring you to design and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring data security and scalability. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams to implement secure data pipelines and DevOps best practices. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, implementing observability and monitoring, building and maintaining secure data pipelines, ensuring data governance and privacy, and performing regular security audits. This is a fully remote, flexible position offering equity options in a growing company.
Requirements
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Proficiency in DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
- Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, network security, data encryption, SIEM solutions)
- Experience with data engineering (ETL, data lakes, database management with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar)
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and data processing
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, or similar tools
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for security and ehiciency (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.)
- Implement observability, monitoring, and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar)
- Build and maintain secure, compliant data pipelines (ETL, ELT) that integrate with HRMs, psychometrics, and project management tools
- Ensure data governance and privacy by implementing encryption, anonymization, and access controls
- Work on data storage, retention, and backup strategies to align with GDPR and ISO 27001
- Collaborate with compliance teams to implement security best practices (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR compliance)
- Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and incident response planning
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI/ML pipelines, HashiCorp Vault, or advanced logging/security tools
