DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Amber Labs, a cutting-edge technology consultancy, as a DevOps Engineer. This remote, full-time or contract position requires a security clearance. You will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, configure NGINX, develop Python scripts, and manage Lambda functions. The role demands proficiency in AWS services and Terraform, along with experience in Python scripting and SSL inspection. Requirements

• Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and more
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code automation and management
• Expertise in configuring and managing NGINX and reverse proxy solutions; Lua scripting experience is a plus
• Strong experience with Python for writing automation scripts and creating APIs or backend services
• Understanding of SSL/TLS protocols and hands-on experience with SSL inspection
• Experience in validating, testing, and promoting Terraform scripts across different environments
• Strong problem-solving skills, debugging capabilities, and attention to detail
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform
• Configure and manage NGINX reverse proxy solutions, utilizing Lua scripts for advanced routing and traffic management
• Develop Python scripts to automate tasks, integrate systems, and ensure smooth continuous deployment pipelines
• Create and manage AWS Lambda functions to automate cloud operations and serverless applications
• Implement SSL inspection for secure communication, manage SSL certificates, and troubleshoot SSL-related issues
• Validate Terraform scripts on lower environments (development/staging) to ensure infrastructure changes are accurate, stable, and secure before promotion to production
