DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Centric Software as a DevOps Engineer and be responsible for generating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage critical infrastructure and application service components. You will automate infrastructure deployment and support developers and QA teams in establishing automated testing and deployment pipelines. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining IaC scripts, implementing automation strategies, monitoring infrastructure, collaborating with development and QA teams, automating application deployments, participating in CI/CD pipeline development, troubleshooting issues, maintaining documentation, and optimizing infrastructure. The role requires proven experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps, strong understanding of IaC principles, proficiency in IaC tools, experience with containerization and orchestration tools, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications and experience with cloud services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in infrastructure engineering or DevOps roles
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices
• Proficiency in IaC tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, etc.)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts and templates to provision, configure, and manage infrastructure components using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar
• Implement automation strategies for infrastructure provisioning and orchestration to streamline deployment processes
• Monitor and manage infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to provide guidance and support in building automated testing and deployment pipelines
• Work on automating application deployments, ensuring consistency and reliability across environments
• Participate in the development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery
• Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues and provide timely resolution, including contributing to automated incident response capabilities
• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations and deployment processes
• Identify opportunities for infrastructure optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in DevOps or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.)
• Experience with cloud services and cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines
