Summary

You will deploy, manage, and optimize GKE clusters, ensure scalability and security of microservices, and implement CI/CD pipelines. The position requires strong expertise with GCP services and experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and various monitoring tools. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or SRE roles
  • Strong expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and IAM
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and service meshes
  • Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Solid experience with CI/CD tools
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools
  • Understanding of networking, security best practices, and database management in a cloud environment

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, and optimize GKE clusters to run containerized applications
  • Ensure scalability, availability, and security of microservices in Kubernetes
  • Implement service mesh solutions (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) and traffic management strategies
  • Design and maintain cloud resources using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration management using
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain observability tools
  • Proactively monitor system health, detect anomalies, and resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Establish incident response workflows and participate in on-call rotations
  • Manage and optimize cloud databases (Cloud SQL, Firestore, Spanner, BigQuery) to ensure efficient data storage and access
  • Implement database backup, replication, and failover strategies
  • Enforce IAM policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and network security best practices
  • Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, or other industry standards as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of serverless computing (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions)
  • Familiarity with policy-as-code frameworks like OPA (Open Policy Agent)
  • Exposure to machine learning workloads on Kubernetes
