Join DoiT as a DevOps Engineer and contribute to the improvement of the PerfectScale product infrastructure. Collaborate with product managers and developers, participating in product decisions. This remote role, based in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, or Spain (or as a contractor in East Europe and Portugal), focuses on designing, operating, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud environments. Responsibilities include ensuring production reliability, developing CI/CD pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, contributing to code reviews, and automating tasks. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in DevOps, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and programming, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. Requirements
- 5+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure experience , with a strong track record of supporting production systems at scale
- 4+ years of hands-on Kubernetes and container experience
- 4+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP), including VPCs, IAM/RBAC, networking, and security
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines including rollout strategies, secrets, and automated testing (preferably GitHub Actions)
- Experience with incident response and postmortems —you’ve been on-call and know how to build resilient systems
- Solid programming skills —can read, write, and debug code (preferably in Go and/or Python) and use code to automate and scale infrastructure
- Proficient with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) for monitoring, alerting, and tracing production systems
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal), and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset

Responsibilities
- Own Cloud and Kubernetes Environments Design, operate, and maintain highly available production(and non-production) K8s clusters across multiple cloud environments. Ensure security, performance, and observability at scale
- Ensure Production Reliability Respond to incidents, lead root cause analysis, and drive long-term fixes. You’ll help define and enforce SLOs, participate in on-call rotations, and continuously improve system reliability
- CI/CD for Production Design and evolve production-grade CI/CD pipelines that are secure, automated, and support frequent and safe releases
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Build and maintain IaC for all cloud infrastructure (e.g., Terraform, Helm). Ensure that everything can be reproduced, reviewed, and versioned
- Code Contributions & Reviews Contribute infrastructure code and review PRs. We expect you to write high-quality code in tools like Go or Python and treat infrastructure like software
- Automation First Identify areas of manual work and automate them—whether it’s scaling clusters, managing secrets, or cleaning up stale environments
- Cross-Team Collaboration Work closely with backend, SRE, and security teams to ensure infrastructure supports development and compliance needs
- Drive Infrastructure Improvements Propose and lead infrastructure enhancements that improve production performance, scalability, and developer experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure and OpenShift experience
- Software Engineering experience (developing production systems)
- Open source contribution to cloud native project/tool
