Summary
Join Movemedical, a leader in MedTech inventory management, as their experienced DevOps Manager. Lead and mentor a global team of DevOps engineers, overseeing the operational lifecycle of the core product. You will establish and maintain comprehensive documentation, collaborate with development teams on SLAs, and drive infrastructure automation. This role requires extensive DevOps experience, Kubernetes expertise, and a strong background in managing production environments. Requirements
- Have 5+ years of DevOps experience managing production environments
- Have 2+ years of team management experience
- Possess deep expertise in service composition and orchestration using Kubernetes or a similar container orchestrator
- Possess expertise in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform
- Have experience managing enterprise applications in production with a global footprint
- Have experience establishing system and performance metric dashboards from a variety of data sources
- Have a proven track record in both brownfield and greenfield implementations
- Possess a strong knowledge of cloud platforms
- Have expertise in CI/CD tools
- Have experience in effectively collaborating and communicating with teams across different time zones
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a global team of 4-5 DevOps engineers
- Own the operational lifecycle of our core product including build, release management and production monitoring
- Establish and maintain comprehensive runbooks and technical documentation
- Work closely with development teams to establish and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical systems and services
- Collaborate with internal teams to align DevOps initiatives with broader organizational goals
- Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Eliminate toil by spearheading infrastructure automation initiatives
- Manage infrastructure costs and resource allocation
- Manage on-call rotations and escalations, assume role of incident manager during critical outages
Preferred Qualifications
- A background in software development is highly beneficial, enabling you to understand and align with the development team's needs and processes
- Experience in a startup environment, where agility and rapid iteration are essential
- Familiarity with working in regulated industries, understanding compliance requirements and best practices
